Galway is now home to more restaurants than ever before.Restaurants now catering to suit every pallet,one would be very unlucky not to find the taste they desire.While Galway is famous for its seafood amongst everything else it also offers a range of Italian,Mexican Chinese,Indian,kebabs,Thaifood.With this wide variety you need never find yourself hungry during your trip to Galway.The beauty of this citys selection is one has the choice to eat in a different eaterie every day of there visit and experience the true taste that Galway has to offer.

The location of the city gives a true advantage to seafood lovers of the world as fish is caught daily from the both the Galway bay and the river corrib which flows through the city and brings with it a steady stream of fresh salmon and trout,you can rest assured that the seafood served in Galway restaurants is among the best in the world. Many agree that the oysters are the best, so much so that the locals have dedicated an entire festival to this particular shellfish.

Many restaurants offer home cooked food in the style of bacon and cabbage and the best of home grown potatoes,homemade stews,soups and freshly baked home made breads.Breakfeast is another very enjoyable feast with the best of irish pork sausages on offer in all restaurants.

Galway now has a growing number of very cosmopolitan cafes serving the finest of italian coffees, indeed one of the many pastimes of galwegians is to sip a cappuccino whilst enjoying the atmosphere that this city has has become famous for in the recent years.
